Dad Belote, 1975
David and Barbara Belote
Another one of Dad’s brothers, Fred,
was a good man who had a wonderful
wife, Lucy, who recently died.
This is one of Dad’s brothers and only
surviving sibling, Norman “Joe-Boy” Belote.

My Grandfather, Benjamin Grice Belote,
may appear stern in this photo, but I
remember him as a sweet, quiet man.
When I stayed summers with him, we became
sidekicks and had many adventures
on his Singer sewing machine sales route.

(L-R) Me, Dad, and Dad’s brother, James
“Bucky” Belote. This was the last picture taken
of our Uncle Buck just before he died.

At Left: Edwin - The father of David Belote
who with his wife Barbara, graciously supplied
us with most of the pictures for this spread.
I never got the chance to meet him and
I regret I did not.

(L-R) Cousin Gussie (Aunt Barbara’s daughter), Grandmom (Augusta),
Aunt Mary Chandler, and Aunt Barbara Marshall

This is just a part of Dad’s family attending his 90th
birthday party in November 2006.
|

We lived beside our parents home, and Dad
would drive over with his mower for a visit.
Sometimes he would tour our large garden
and give me a report on it.

This is Dad’s brother Alfred with
an unidentifi ed friend.
|
Our home Dad built, nearly completed. It
seemed like he worked forever on our home.
When Dad & Mom sold the property in 1972,
a big bulldozer came in and knocked it down,
making room for new townhouses.

It is my understanding
that this is a photo of
our great grandparents
in the Ukraine, Russia.
