1960 Austin Healey
Bert & Sandy Shirey from Rising Sun posing with their 1960 Austin Healey,
Sprite. Bert lovingly restored this vintage vehicle, but the only thing in doubt
is how he gets in it (Bert is 6 ft. 1 inch). Sandy told me he has a tougher time
getting out!

Bob Litzenberg
At Left: Bob Litzenberg Sr. built and opened a restaurant (this is back view of restaurant) across
from Triumph Explosives on Blue Ball Rd. The business thrived until the end of the war. Here he
poses with his son, Bobby, with a nice local buck he took, and later butchered. "My dad was an
uncommon man and he could do anything he put his mind to," said Bobby Jr. of Elkton Maryland.
See story about Bob Litzenberg on pages 20-21.

At Right: Bob Litzenberg Sr. with his champion Beagle, "Litzenbergs
Betty". Mr. Litzenberg had a kennel of Beagles and would
show them in field trials all over the East coast. This was before
he joined the army in WWII. See story about Bob Litzenberg on
pages 20-21.
