After forty five years apart, Lena Sumner Spotts married her high school sweetheart Floyd Hansen on May 27, 2008. Lena, a retired Cecil county school teacher, raised two sons in the Calvert area with her fi rst husband Ralph who passed away in 1999. When Floyd came back home from California for a visit a year ago, his sister invited Lena to dinner and the two reconnected. Their honeymoon was a ten-day meandering road trip back to California where they will live until Floyd retires, at which time they plan to return to Cecil soil. At left, Lena and Floyd exit the Cecil County Circuit Courthouse after their wedding ceremony. Below are two photos from their high school days.
