Twenty professional BBQ experts and some gutsy amateurs met at Galvinell’s Meat Co., located at 461 Ragan Rd., Conowingo, MD. On May 10th. 2008. It was a great time for all — live music, fantastic BBQ eating, and serious (but always friendly) competition. And when the smoke cleared we had a Grand Champion; Big Ugly, and Reserve Champion; Lo N Slo. Other competitors were Mutha Chicken, Saucy Butts, Max Que, Pig Headed, Pequa Pullers, Grandad’s, Endless Summer, Mason Dixon Smokers, Smokin Gnomes, Widespread Pork, Pig Licken, Pot Belly Pig (last year’s Grand Champion), Pine Grove Burnt Ends, Rib N It, Off The Hoof, Knight Life, Pig Pen, and Ribs N Things.
